Welcome to Kommuniti
Where You Live - Neighbours getting to know your neighbours and your neighbours, neighbours, online and face to face at our Kommuniti socials.

What is Kommuniti?
Kommun (Swedish for Township) iti (Maori for Small) Kommuniti – Small Townships or Suburbs where you choose to live

Why Kommuniti
It takes a village to raise a child is a well-known African proverb meaning that an entire community of people must interact with children for those children to experience the good behaviour of a Wellbeing Community and grow into contributing members of society.

The global pandemic of 2019 showed us the value of connectedness for our wellbeing, and how human we are in wanting to be together, nurture, and support each other.

Our World has become a Global Community, but we must focus on localisation if we are to thrive and survive as a civic society.

The graphic above shows what residents in the South East Ward of the City of Joondalup who attended workshops held by the City, want to see, feel, and hear between 2022 and 2032.

Utilising Social Media and Face to Face Social gatherings we have quickly built up a Kommuniti of close to 2000 residents.

Our Joondalup LGA Kommuniti Hub is now offering these members an opportunity to participate in many of our planned Socials, Groups, Activities, Workshops, and Events that bring communities closer together.

Our Kommuniti FREE membership includes.........

Nextdoor Kommuniti

It's where communities come together to greet newcomers, exchange recommendations, and read the latest local news. Where neighbours support local businesses and get updates from public services. Where neighbours borrow tools and sell couches. It's how to get the most out of everything nearby.

Kommuniti Café
We meet multiple times a month and support a local coffee shop at times and on days that are suitable for the neighbours.

Edible Garden Kommuniti
Part of the Grow It Local network encouraging people to grow and exchange their own fruit and vegetables. We meet on and offline to share tips and learn permaculture ways. Days and times vary.

Kommuniti Walking Group
Heart Foundation approved walks for keeping healthy. Suburb by suburb, days, and times by consent.

Kommuniti Kindness
How much does it cost to be Kind? Yes, usually nothing, so if you want to See Kind, Be Kind. Join our Kommuniti Kindness Socials to share Kindness far and wide.

What are you waiting for, it's time to get to know your neighbours!
